Memorial Day Message from Dwayne
"The anchor in our world today is freedom, holding us steady in times of change, a symbol of hope to all the world."
- President George H.W. Bush, State of the Union Address, Jan. 31, 1990
Dear Friends:
Each May Americans gather to pay respect to the men and women of our Armed Services who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom. Understanding the great price that is paid to ensure that Americans continue to live in a free society must never be forgotten. We must all take great pride in the work that our service men and women are doing to defend us on a daily basis.
This Memorial Day weekend, I ask that you join me in remembering the men and women of our Armed Services who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I ask that you take time to fly the American Flag, visit a memorial or cemetery, or teach your children or grandchildren about freedom’s great price.
Since the inception of honoring our fallen soldiers in 1866, generations of Americans have gathered at war memorials and cemeteries to honor and pay respect to our fallen heroes. It is my prayer that we pass this tradition along to younger generations so that they may never take for granted the great price paid for freedom.
Sincerely,

“Since his initial election to the State House, Representative Bohac has been a tireless supporter of Spring Branch ISD. He has worked hard to increase funding for our schools, including his strong support of the bill that provided pay increases for our staff in the last legislative session. Representative Bohac has also worked closely with our district to obtain support and passage of our initiatives to eliminate Robin Hood and to provide additional funding for high quality pre-K.”
Mike Fallick, SBISD School Board President
