Governor Abbott Endorses Dwayne Bohac for Re-election as State Representative

AUSTIN—Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Dwayne Bohac for re-election as State Representative of House District 138. Representative Bohac has been a staunch ally of Governor Abbott during his term by working to grow the Texas economy. Texans for Greg Abbott released a video this morning highlighting Rep. Bohac’s commitment to limited government and free-market principles.

“Dwayne Bohac is a leader in the fight to improve Texas schools, limit regulations, and lower property taxes. Next session, I look forward to continuing to work with him to take our state to even greater heights,” said Governor Abbott. “In order to do this, we need leaders in Austin who will stick to their conservative principles and work with me to keep Texas on track. That is why I am proud to endorse Dwayne Bohac for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives.”

In addition to Governor Abbott, Dwayne has been endorsed for re-election in 2018 by U.S. Congressman Ted Poe, State Senator Paul Bettencourt, Commissioner Steve Radack, Commissioner Jack Cagle, Former Spring Branch ISD Superintendent Duncan Klussmann, Former Cy-Fair Superintendent David Anthony, Former Katy ISD Superintendent Alton Frailey, Texas Values Action, Texas Right to Life, Texas Alliance for Life, the National Rifle Association, the Houston Police Officers Association, the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, the Houston Realty Business Coalition, and the “C” Club of Houston.

Born and raised in District 138, Dwayne graduated from Texas A&M University with honors. He is a local small businessman who is active in his church and the local community.
