REMINDER: Buffalo Bayou and Barker Reservoir Watershed Community Engagement Meetings on HCFCD Bond Program Next Week

The Harris County Commissioners Court plans to call a flood control district bond election for August 25, 2018—the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. Registered voters in Harris County will be asked to vote on $2.5 billion in bonds for flood risk reduction projects throughout the county.

Community Engagement Meetings began in June, including ones for the Addicks Reservoir and White Oak Bayou watersheds that affect District 138. Next week, the meetings for the Buffalo Bayou and Barker Reservoir watersheds are being held on July 30th and August 1st. Here are the details:
