A Message from Rep. Dwayne Bohac on the Hurricane Ike Recovery

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. Like you, my family has spent the last week recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Ike that affected nearly everyone in our community, the greater Houston area, and the gulf coast. While many homes and businesses were damaged, and many lives were altered in one way or another, it never ceases to amaze me how quickly our citizens come together in times of need.

Hurricanes are not partisan events. So it’s time to put partisan differences aside and roll up our sleeves and continue helping one another. It’s not a time for campaigning, it’s a time for neighbors helping neighbors with that American spirit upon which our democracy thrives, endures, and overcomes adversity. Therefore, I am postponing my campaign activities indefinitely as we continue the recovery process.

As we continue to recover in the days and weeks ahead, please know that my staff and I stand ready to serve you and assist you in the recovery process in any way we can.

Sincerely,

Dwayne Bohac
State Representative, District 138
