Bohac Announces Capitol Staff Assignments

79th Legislative Session Now Underway

AUSTIN – State Representative Dwayne Bohac (R-Houston) is pleased to announce his Capitol Staff for the 79th Legislative Session in Austin.

Returning in the role of Chief of Staff is Travis Griffin, who served Rep. Bohac during the 78th Legislative Session in 2003. Griffin departed the office last spring to direct the Bush-Cheney ’04 campaign in a large region of Southeast Missouri. In addition to working for Rep. Bohac, he served State Senator Todd Staples (R-Palestine) during the 77th Legislative Session in 2001. Travis was born and raised in Spring Branch.

Jeannette Trail, our District Director, will continue in her role and has moved the Constituent Service department to Austin for the session. In addition to handling all constituent casework and correspondence, she will also serve as the Representative's scheduler and chief administrative assistant. Jeannette lives in the Oak Forest area of Houston.

Joining the team this session is Melissa Cook, our new Legislative Aide. Melissa is a recent honors graduate of the University of Florida and has family in the Memorial area of Houston. In addition to analyzing legislation, she will also be handling our honorary and memorial resolutions and assisting with our committee workload.

Back home in the district, Lois Stromberg and Wes Krueger will continue to serve as our local Neighborhood Liaisons. They maintain a vital link to the district as the eyes and ears of the Representative while he is away in Austin for the session, keeping their hands on the pulse of important emerging issues.

"I am excited to be surrounded by such a dedicated and qualified team of individuals," said Bohac. "Together, our mission is to serve the needs of all citizens in House District 138."

The 79th Legislative Session began January 11, 2005 and will last until May 30, 2005. To contact Rep. Bohac during this time, please contact our Capitol Office:
