Texas Alliance for Life Endorses Dwayne Bohac For Reelection

Endorsement based on Bohac’s strong pro-life record in the Texas Legislature and support in passing the “sonogram” bill last session

Spring Branch, TX — Texas Alliance for Life PAC, one of the state’s leading pro-life organizations, has announced their endorsement of State Rep. Dwayne Bohac (R-Spring Branch) for reelection to Texas House District 138.

“I am proud to have worked with Texas Alliance for Life through the years to protect the sanctity of life,” said Bohac.  “I am especially proud of our work last session in passing the sonogram bill, and I look forward to continuing my efforts on behalf of the pro-life community in the Texas Legislature.”

According to a letter from Joe Pojman, Executive Director for Texas Alliance for Life PAC, the endorsement was “based on your (Bohac’s) support for pro-life issues that are a top priority for Texas Alliance for Life.”  The letter also cites last session’s major accomplishments, which include the “sonogram bill” and choose life license plates.

In addition to his leadership on pro-family issues last session, Bohac helped pass a balanced state budget without raising taxes. Other accomplishments include passing voter photo ID legislation, “loser pays” tort reform, increased funding for border security, providing more local control for public schools, a resolution calling for a federal balanced budget amendment, stronger gun and property owner rights, and an extension of the small business tax exemption.

For his leadership last session, Bohac was awarded the “Taxpayer Advocate” Award from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, the “Defender of Life” Award from Texas Right to Life, the “Courageous Conservative” Award from the Texas Conservative Coalition, and recognized by the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT) for his support of law enforcement officers and their families.

Conservative leaders and organizations such as State Senator Dan Patrick (R-Houston), the National Rifle Association (NRA), and Texans for Lawsuit Reform have also endorsed Bohac for reelection.
