Representative Dwayne Bohac, District 138, is pleased to announce the names of the students who will be to serving as Honorary Pages at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.

Bohac Co-Authors Bill Aimed at Improving Public School Education by Expanding Curriculum Options, Reducing Standardized Testing, and Enhancing School Accountability.

Today, State Representative Dwayne Bohac (R-Houston) filed a comprehensive tax relief package aimed at cutting the tax burden on Texas homeowners' and businesses.  Bohac's tax relief package includes HB 1943 which limits the amount of a homestead appraisal, HB 1946 which will limit the frequency of homestead reappraisals and HB 1945 and HB 1944 which will set the franchise tax exemptions at $2.5 million and $5 million, respectively.

I have teamed up with State Senator Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville) to launch MerryChristmasBill.com to build public support for the "Merry Christmas Bill" currently under consideration by the Texas Legislature.

State Representative Dwayne Bohac (R-Spring Branch) has been assigned to serve on three key committees during the 83rd Legislative Session. He will serve as Vice-Chair of Business and Industry and on the powerful Ways & Means and Local & Consent Calendars Committees.

"With the 83rd Texas Legislature underway, I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the citizens of West Harris County. Having been born and raised in House District 138, I know the people and their values quite well.

"We face a number of critical issues this session, and two of my top priorities are the budget and public education."

Today, State Representative Dwayne Bohac (R-Houston) pre-filed legislation to protect the freedom of Texas Independent School Districts to acknowledge and educate students on the historic and cultural roots of traditional winter celebrations and holidays such as Christmas and Hanukkah.  200
