Houston, TX -- State Representative Dwayne Bohac (R-Houston) is proud to announce that his campaign has received the endorsement of two of Texas' largest business organizations, NFIB/Texas and Texas Association of Business.

"As a small business owner myself, I am proud and honored to receive the support and endorsement of Texas' largest business groups," Rep. Bohac said.  "Small business creates two-thirds of the new jobs annually, employs more than half of the private-sector workforce and generate nearly 50% of the annual GDP.  I know the blood, sweat and tears that go into running your own business and we owe it to all employers and employees in Texas to maintain the pro-business climate that has made our state the economic envy of the rest of the country."

"Representative Bohac’s legislative voting record is proof he is the pro-small business candidate in this race, and that he is keenly aware of the issues facing small business owners," said NFIB/Texas Executive Director Will Newton. “His voting record continues to demonstrate support our members’ priority issues, including workforce development, job growth and changes to the state’s onerous business tax.”

The National Federation of Independent Business is Texas’ leading small business association, with 24,000 members in the state and 350,000 nationwide.  The endorsement was made by NFIB/Texas SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

In addition to being endorsed by the Texas Association of Business, Rep. Bohac was named a "Fighter for Free Enterprise" by TAB for his pro-business efforts to maintain Texas' balanced regulatory climate and promote economic prosperity during the 83rd Legislative Session.  The Texas Association of Business (Texas’ statewide “Chamber of Commerce” is a broad-based, bipartisan organization representing more than 3,000 small and large Texas employers and 200 local chambers of commerce.

On November 6, 2012, Representative Dwayne Bohac was re-elected to represent House District 138. He is a small businessman and lifelong District 138 resident.  Previously, Rep. Bohac was awarded the "Taxpayer's Best Friend" Award by his colleagues in the Texas House.
